This support article is related to this Repeat play that allows you to use Repeat’s Cross-Sell Predictions Block in any of your Klaviyo emails. When you are testing this block to make sure it’s working properly, it can be confusing in Klaviyo as to whether it’s set up correctly or not.
At a high level, you should know that this block will show up for any customer that has placed at least 1 order with your store.
Those customers will all have a custom property on their profile called “Repeat - Product Predictions” so by setting up a segment like this, you can find a profile for which the dynamic block will show:
How to set up a segment to find an email for testing the Cross-Sell Predictions Block
In Klaviyo, under the Audience tab, go to Lists & Segments. Here, you can build a segment to check how many customers have dynamic predictions appended to their profile.
If a customer has the custom property called “Repeat - Product Predictions” on their profile, the Cross Sell Predictions Block will show up for them.
Once the segment is generated, you will have access to a full list of customers associated with product predictions.
In order to test what these customers are seeing, you will need to copy a customer’s email address before accessing the email template that you want to test with.
This is because blocks work differently than Klaviyo flows. When testing a Klaviyo flow, it will automatically populate data with customers that have relevant event properties. Blocks, on the other hand, will rely on you to select a relevant customer’s email address to test with.
By testing with a customer’s email address, you will have access to exactly what your customers are seeing when they view your cross-sell predictions block.
